Strengthening IT security, expanding knowledge, protecting customers – PROMOS in the Alliance for Cyber Security

Cyber attacks on companies and organisations are on the rise. The consequences of data theft, sabotage or blackmail can cause high financial losses and, not least, damage to a company’s image. It is therefore essential for PROMOS to provide maximum protection for our own IT infrastructure and our customers’ systems. As part of the Alliance for Cyber Security (ACS), we are sending out another clear signal of our commitment to IT security.

Share knowledge, minimise risks

The Alliance for Cyber Security, initiated by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), is the largest network of its kind in Europe. Over 8,000 companies and institutions use this platform to exchange information about threats, attack vectors and current security solutions. For PROMOS, membership provides valuable impetus for recognising cyber risks in good time and implementing effective protective measures. Members benefit from regular newsletters with up-to-date information on the cyber security situation, web talks and training courses that provide practical protective measures.

“The threat of cyber attacks is becoming increasingly complex. In the Alliance for Cyber Security, we benefit from direct dialogue with other experts and companies. This knowledge helps us to protect not only our systems, but also those of our customers in the long term,” explains Viktoria Sorgalla, Information Security Officer at PROMOS.

Advantages for PROMOS customers

Membership of the ACS provides additional added value for PROMOS customers. Thanks to regular dialogue and up-to-date security information, we can:

  • react even more specifically to new threats,
  • continuously improve our solutions and
  • further strengthen the security of processes and data.

An important step towards ISO/EN 27001:2022

Participation in the Alliance is one of several measures that we implement voluntarily as part of our ISO/EN 27001:2013 certification. PROMOS has successfully passed the first monitoring audit and plans to switch to the new standard from 2022 by August 2025. By participating in the Alliance for Cyber Security, we are expanding our network and staying up to date with the latest developments in IT security.

Working together for secure processes and data – PROMOS customers can rely on this!
