EcoVadis Award – living responsibility, shaping the future

The responsibility for a future worth living begins today and we are committed to consistently shaping this path. Our EcoVadis Award emphasises this commitment. It rates our sustainability initiatives and our contribution to ecological, social and ethical corporate governance on one of the world’s leading evaluation platforms. To us, this distinction is far more than just an award – it confirms our ongoing commitment to setting fair and sustainable standards.

Why EcoVadis and why now?

The decision to apply for an EcoVadis Award was not taken lightly. One of the reasons for participating was our customers’ desire for clear sustainability and responsibility standards. The introduction of the new Supply Chain Act and the growing importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) are leading to new requirements in many industries, and ethical standards are also increasingly being demanded in the digital economy. EcoVadis not only enables us to guarantee this, but also to make our commitment open and transparent for our partners.

“We wanted to focus our efforts not only on environmental protection, but also on labour rights and ethical standards,” explains Anna Sonntag, Executive Assistant to the Executive Board at PROMOS. In addition to environmental aspects, the EcoVadis assessment also covers labour and human rights, business ethics and sustainable procurement. We were able to achieve high standards in many of these categories and thus create the basis for responsible cooperation with our customers.

Sustainability as a central pillar of our strategy

For PROMOS, sustainability is not only an investment in the environment, but also a commitment to social and ethical values. The assessment by EcoVadis proves that we not only focus on ecology, but also on fair working conditions and ethical behaviour. “For us, corporate social responsibility (CSR) means taking responsibility for people, society and the environment – at all levels of our operations,” explains Viktoria Sorgalla, Information Security Officer at PROMOS. This responsibility is also reflected in our internal Code of Conduct, which defines comprehensive standards for fair and ethical business practices.
