A big thank you for a great event!

What an event! The 16th OpenPromos User Forum took place last week in Berlin. Due to pandemic restrictions, only a remote event with digital participation was possible in recent years. That made it all the more special to see so many enthusiastic industry insiders, digitisation experts and actors from different segments of the real estate industry in one place. The Forum presents a great opportunity for all these different groups to come together and share their knowledge. This year, our inspiring and knowledgeable speakers left an impression again with their exciting lectures. We’d like to thank everyone involved!

The first day was filled by the panel discussion and presentations from PROMOS managing director Jens Kramer and keyword speaker Gerriet Danz. Jens Kramer kicked things off and provided the audience with valuable insights and thought-provoking ideas regarding digitisation in the real estate world right from the start. Philipp Bächstädt moderated the compelling discussion with Klaus Graniki (DOGEWO21), Dr Christian Jaeger (GEWOBA Bremen), Norbert Riffel (VBW Bochum), Dr Alexander Hellmuth (EY) and Jens Kramer (PROMOS consult). They delved into how companies can overcome hurdles and master challenges in the midst of a multi-crisis. They gave clear recommendations for company founders, managing directors and employees of real estate companies. Last but not least, Gerriet Danz spoke about an issue that affects every company but is mostly handled incorrectly: mistakes. We all make mistakes, after all, and how we deal with them can be decisive for our personal or business success. His suggestions will certainly help the participants in their professional development going forward. At the end of the day, the participants literally flew into the air in the Hurricane Factory! A high flight and highlight that no one will forget any time soon.

The second day was filled with many presentations on both the Main Stage and the Special Stage. Guests also had the opportunity to talk to the speakers and PROMOS specialists about all topics relating to consulting, IT and technology in the Innovation Lounge. This led to many lively conversations and exchanges on the latest technologies and innovative solutions. Guests were also very enthusiastic about the speed sessions, where they received quick bites of current information on relevant topics. For example, the audience learned how to maintain high data quality in all areas and all about the digital message history in a mobile app. On the Main Stage, speakers held several longer lectures that delivered exclusive insight into modern solutions, processes and innovative companies. The lecture on maximising efficiency in P2P processes held by Catharina Schroll from Schörghuber IT and Thomas Pfeiffer from Bayerische Hausbau GmbH & Co. KG was popular with visitors this year, as was the insightful presentation on vacant apartment refurbishment at DOGEWO21 held by Carlotta Martin-Bullmann and Gero Scheebaum. There were many other interesting topics and highlights that cannot be covered in just one post. However, it is still possible to purchase an online ticket and access the on-demand content. We would like to thank all speakers, guests and PROMOS experts who once again made this Forum a unique experience. We’re already looking forward to the 17th OpenPromos User Forum!
