Conveniently implementing EED requirements – current consumption data in the tenant app

From 1 January 2022, the amendment obliges landlords to provide monthly consumption data to residents of properties with remotely readable recording devices. From 25 October 2020, these statements are to be sent to tenants at least twice a year if corresponding devices are installed.

What sounds like an enormous additional burden for housing companies can be solved easily and conveniently using the easysquare tenant app.

EED-compliant display of consumption data

In addition to the “classics” such as damage reports or the ability to view contracts, the easysquare tenant app now also offers the useful “Consumption” function. This range of functions makes it possible to comply with the EED requirements quickly and almost automatically. It contains up to four boxes and can thus separately map all consumption values supplied by the meter reading company. The consumption form is created monthly and contains the respective absolute consumption value and up to 3 relative comparison figures. If a tenant has several rental contracts/rental properties, the relevant consumption data is listed separately. Icons and notes can provide additional explanations.

Die Novellierung verpflichtet Vermieter ab dem 1. Januar 2022 dazu, Bewohnern in Liegenschaften mit fernablesbaren Erfassungsgeräten monatlich Verbrauchsinformationen zur Verfügung zu stellen. Schon ab dem 25. Oktober 2020 sollen diese, bei entsprechender Infrastruktur, dem Wohnungsnutzer mindestens halbjährlich zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

Was sich wie eine enorme Zusatz-Belastung für Wohnungsunternehmen anhört, kann mittels der easysquare Mieter-App einfach und komfortabel gelöst werden.

EED-konforme Darstellung der Verbrauchsdaten

Neben den „Klassikern“ wie der Schadensmeldung oder Vertragseinsicht bietet die Mieter-App von easysquare nun die weitere nützliche Funktion „Verbräuche“ an. Mit diesem Funktionsumfang ist es möglich, schnell und nahezu automatisiert den Anforderungen der EED-Richtlinie nachzukommen. Sie enthält bis zu 4 Boxen und kann damit alle von den Messdienstleistern gelieferten Verbrauchswerte thematisch getrennt abbilden. Das Verbrauchsformular wird monatlich erstellt und enthält den jeweiligen absoluten Verbrauchswert und bis zu 3 relative Vergleichskennzahlen. Sollte ein Mieter mehrere Mietverträge/Mietobjekte innehaben, so werden die Verbräuche hierfür getrennt untereinander aufgeführt. Durch Icons und Hinweistexte können zusätzliche Erklärungen gegeben werden.
