Employees come together for a good cause

Courageous fortune hunters, sleepy stargazers and creative masters of disguise at the day care in Kassel can now frolic and romp through the colourful outdoor teepees donated by PROMOS. At the official donation ceremony on 12 June 2019, Antje Hohlbein, the director of the facility, was overjoyed: “We are so happy to be able to give our children the opportunity, with these tents, to have their own little adventures outside in the fresh air. It is important to us that we provide an environment in which they can flourish and express themselves freely. We’d like to say a big thank you to all the generous donors at PROMOS.”

Representing PROMOS consult at the ceremony was Michael Zapf, Head of Department Kassel. “We have been organising this donation drive for a few years now. It is an even greater pleasure to be here this time around and see our donations reach the actual recipients, in this case the smallest among us,” Zapf said of the special moment.

The donations were collected by PROMOS as part of its traditional “donate once, help twice” campaign. Every year, employees have the opportunity to suggest institutions as recipients of the donations, of which two are eventually chosen. PROMOS then matches the value of the employee donations. This year, the Kurhessischehaus Kassel and another children’s association, the Kindervereinigung Berlin Lichtenberg, received €2,101.80 each. The organisations can use the money to acquire donations in kind from our cooperation partner. The association in Berlin purchased a selection of wooden toys for both indoor and outdoor play. In this case as well, we received news of elated children absorbed in their make-believe adventures.
