PROMOS consult equips ProPotsdam with new ERP system

The project launched on 25 January with a joint kick-off event. With the migration to the new SAP system as part of a comprehensive data centre solution, ProPotsdam aims to optimise existing processes while at the same time expanding them with systematic use of digital technology. The system will go live for all employees after just eleven months at the beginning of 2019.

With SAP S/4HANA^®, SAP is providing companies with the next generation of the SAP Business Suite. The solution is based on the in-memory platform SAP HANA^® and is specially tailored to the requirements and challenges of the digital economy. “With SAP S/4HANA^® as the digital core of the IT architecture, we can now systematically gear corporate processes at ProPotsdam towards digital technology. This means that we are laying the foundations for simpler, more streamlined processes,” says Katharina Knorr, CFO and project manager at PROMOS consult.

ProPotsdam is Potsdam’s largest housing company. In addition to the mobile solutions already in use, such as quality assessment and the craftsman portal, the business plans increasingly to bring partners and customers together through portals and apps. This includes the introduction of a tenant app and use of mobile technology based on PROMOS easysquare solutions to handle the letting process. To realise these ambitions, ProPotsdam has again chosen the real-estate-industry expertise and proven solutions offered by the IT specialist PROMOS consult.

“With the switch to SAP S/4HANA^®, we want to increase the quality, cost-effectiveness and reliability of our IT infrastructure to further consolidate and improve our competitive position. Together with PROMOS, we are jointly developing the design and implementation as well as the comparison of fields and transfer of data so as to enable a swift, cost-effective system migration”, says Monika Gräf, head of the Information and Communication department at ProPotsdam.

PROMOS consult was recently responsible for implementing SAP S/4HANA^® at the Berlin housing company Hilfswerk-Siedlung GmbH (HWS) as well as the system transition to S/4 HANA^® at Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH (BIM).
