Making Potsdam a better place to live – that’s the mission statement of the city’s own group of companies ProPotsdam. Among the methods the company employs to achieve this objective are multifaceted construction and housing projects as well as social commitment. The company manages more than 17,800 apartments and provides new housing in Potsdam through innovative construction projects such as upgrading and rebuilding a former tram depot or military barracks. The support, management, rebuilding/renovation measures and the organisation of the social projects require a sophisticated digitisation concept. This is where PROMOS comes in. For example, ProPotsdam was able to digitise its entire company management and residential property management without impairing operating processes by implementing the new operating system SAP S/4HANA^®. Jörn-Michael Westphal has been managing director of ProPotsdam GmbH since 2000 and took responsibility for the majority of the digitisation project in cooperation with PROMOS. We wanted to find out from him how he and the company maintain their success and drive innovation in Potsdam. We asked him seven questions. Here are his responses.

Dortmund-based housing company DOGEWO21 is an innovative pioneer in its field. Since 2021, it has integrated another successful tool, the tenant app, into its digital strategy and everyday operations. How did it all start back then? And what might the future hold in terms of digitisation in the real estate industry? These questions and more were put to Klaus Graniki, Managing Director of DOGEWO21. HOWOGE’s commercial director, Thomas Felgenhauer, who is responsible for the areas IT, finance and controlling, accounting and human resources, joined us for an interview to discuss growth, productivity and the company’s move to its new corporate headquarters.

Over the past few years, Hilfswerk-Siedlung GmbH (HWS) has taken significant steps to give due consideration to the challenges of a digital world of work. Um den Anforderungen gerecht zu werden, konnten sich auch in diesem Jahr wieder Kunden, Partner und Interessierte während des zweitägigen Kongresses in Duisburg einen Überblick über unsere Branchenlösungen verschaffen und sich über bewährte und neue Optimierungsansätze informieren.

Die BGW hat PROMOS beauftragt, ein modernes, innovatives Data Warehouse System einzuführen. Bis zum Jahr 2009 soll das gemeinsame Projekt in mehreren Etappen abgeschlossen werden. Erste Ergebnisse werden jedoch bereits in diesem Jahr vorliegen.

Zum 01. Juni 2007 erfolgte beimWohnungsunternehmen PRO POTSDAM GmbH die Umstellung auf die neue SAP® ERP Software. Bereits seit Anfang 2001 ist die PRO POTSDAM SAP®-Anwender und Servicekunde im Rechenzentrum der PROMOS.
