PROMOS HOAI fee calculator

Although there are numerous HOAI online calculators, an SAP^®-integrated solution has proven to be extremely efficient for customers – not only for the calculation, but also for the subsequent recording of service levels and evaluation of services rendered. The PROMOS HOAI calculator can be fully integrated into the PROMOS construction project solution.

The fee calculation

You can use the Fiori^® Launchpad to access the fee calculation directly. In the first step, the basis for the calculation is recorded, for which the scope of work and WBS element are selected. The calculation screen enables a simple procedure thanks to a clear division into tabs. Firstly, chargeable costs are determined, which can be automated from the project system. A further tab distinguishes between the five fee zones. When determining the fee rate, the system automatically carries out the interpolation according to the existing fee tables. The “Fee” tab shows the performance phases for which the chargeable costs of the respective service are calculated. Cost calculation method can be used as a basis. The “Performance phases” tab is used to determine which phases were carried out by the engineer or architect. Surcharges and discounts, additional costs and special services can be entered manually using the tabs.

The fee output

Finally, the calculation is displayed in an ALV. The list header contains all entries made as well as important information. Further down, it contains the fees and calculations determined via the performance phases. The results can be printed and saved.

Performance entry

In addition to the simple fee calculation, the performance statuses can also be recorded chronologically. This function not only increases transparency, which is necessary for successful project management; it also allows you to calculate and thus post fee-based invoices.

• Caching: With the HOAI calculator, entries can be saved temporarily and continued later.
  
• Post-processing: Generated fee calculations can be subsequently edited.
  
• Template management: For regularly recurring calculations of a similar nature, a template system offers important time advantages.
  
• Overview of HOAI calculations: Using a separate tile, calculated fees can be clearly listed in an ALV. A direct jump is possible.
  
• Individualisation: There are various customer exits, such as for company-specific pre-filling and validation when recording fee calculations. In addition, individual work scopes can be defined for the fee calculation.
  
• Analyses and correspondence: Reports can be used to conveniently analyse and compare fee calculations and hourly bookings of architects / engineers. Furthermore, analyses and correspondence are available, allowing target and actual fees as well as remaining fee balances to be shown.
